Enhancing CME Opportunities Through Strategic Collaboration
The Caribbean College of Family Physicians (CCFP) is committed to advancing continuous medical education (CME) for Family Physicians and General Practitioners across the Caribbean. In pursuit of this goal, we are offering a strategic partnership with pharmaceutical companies to co-host medical meetings alongside CCFP-organized CME webinars.
How the Partnership Works
When a pharmaceutical company schedules a webinar on a specific date that aligns with a CCFP webinar under a similar theme, both entities can collaborate to maximize participation and reduce costs. This initiative ensures that:
- Family Physicians and General Practitioners receive relevant, evidence-based medical knowledge.
- Pharmaceutical companies optimize attendance and engagement at their educational sessions.
- Event hosting expenses are significantly reduced through cost-sharing arrangements.
Terms of Partnership
- Scope of Collaboration
- The pharmaceutical company is responsible for selecting its own speaker(s) and presentation topic, ensuring alignment with the CCFP event theme and their product focus.
- The pharmaceutical company will be allocated a dedicated session within the CCFP CME event.
- The speaker(s) from the pharmaceutical company will receive the same presentation duration as in a standalone event.
- This partnership applies to webinars only and must be clearly stated in all agreements.
- Event Cost-Sharing
- The partnership significantly reduces costs for the pharmaceutical company as hosting expenses are shared.
- If the event is hybrid, costs related to the venue, audiovisual (AV), and multimedia equipment will be Pharmaceutical or other company’s responsibility.
- Fees and Registration
- Cost per speaker: $100,000 JMD
- CME certificates will be issued to attendees, with a minimum charge of $1,000 – $1,500 JMD per attendee, except for speakers and faculty.
- Physicians specifically invited by the pharmaceutical company will not be charged for CME certificates.
- Advertising and Promotion
- The event will be advertised on the CCFP website and across our promotional platforms.
- Promotional materials must include the logos of both CCFP and the pharmaceutical company.
- The pharmaceutical company is allowed to promote the event to their target audience and invite physicians of their choice.
- The Partner shall provide the names and email addresses of specific physicians invited by them to the event
- Access to Attendee Information
- A full list of attendees with relevant details will be provided to the partnering pharmaceutical company after the event.
